Drivers can choose from one of four distinct drive modes, each of which optimizes the drive system for a specific type of driving. The exterior has also undergone an upgrade for 2016 Cadillac ELR PHEV. Flashy upper fascia grill panels have been lengthened and dramatic LED headlamps straddle both side of the front grill. High-performance 20″ chrome wheels are standard as are the adaptive cruise control. For additional safety, the driver’s seat pulses when the car senses danger or an oncoming obstruction in the road. In fact, the safety features in the 2016 Cadillac ELR PHEV have been upgraded throughout the vehicle. The frame has been rebuilt with a new heavy duty tensile material that offers an additional level of protection to passengers in case of a rollover or direct hit from another vehicle.

The 2016 Cadillac ELR PHEV is set to go on sale in early 2015 and the manufacturer’s suggested retail price begins at $77,000, with some models costing close to $90,000. That makes the vehicle one of the most expensive PHEV’s on the market. But given all the luxuries and features that come standard with the vehicle, it’s still a pretty good value.
